What was the cause?

- Katrina was a tropical warm water storm, and was formed over the Bahamas

- Scientists think that Katrina was caused by global warming

- New Orleans was a swamp land, so it was also created by heat, humidity, wind, and rain

-Winds got up to 170 miles per hour

-Katrina used the movement of cold and hot air to form. The hot air would rise to the top of the storm, then cools, and generates rain and heat.

-This cycle repeats again and again

-The heat that is generated causes the air to rise faster. The makes the hurricane faster.
