Art Movements

Frida Kahlo’s life was not and easy ride. With events like the Revolution polio, a fatal accident resulting in a grand total of 33 surgeries, an unsteady marriage plus infertility, Kahlo’s life was filled with devouring feelings of tragedy. She took her negative feelings and created art. The choice of style, though possibly based solely off of preference, contributes the the meanings behind each piece.
