Reagan Today

If Ronald Reagan were to be a politician today, he probably would not see the popularity that he did back in the 1980's. Though his economic policies were useful in his time, his emphasis on extreme tax cuts would not be seen as necessary in today's economy. Additionally, his emphasis on increasing military spending would not have the same support as it did during his time because a large majority of the population feel that too much money is being given to the military already. However, this does not mean that his policies were not important and that he was a poor president, it is just that circumstances are different today and many of the issues that he focused most on are not the issues at large today.
