There was not a cure for the plague, only treatment for the symptoms. Millions of people died between the years 1347 and 1352. However, they had many weird and unsanitary beliefs for treatment. People began to take bathes in vinegar and rose water, cut open the boils in belief the disease would leave the body, (they did this also by cutting open the veins leading to the heart), not eating food such as meat, cheese, and fish, and even witchcraft.
