Adult Sea Turtles lay their eggs on the beaches they hatched from. Some species have arribadas where many turtles gather to lay eggs on the same beach. They swim up onto the shores at night and lay an average of 100 eggs. In 1-2 years the same female will lay more eggs. When she has laid all her eggs she is done. She will never get to see her own children , they will have to survive on their own.
