The X-men is a comic-book series and a popular movie franchise based on a team of super heroes who are born with the x-gene in their DNA. This gene gives them Uncanny super powers but makes them seen as outcasts and freaks to our society. The x-men are an example of nonconformity because they have a choice to either hide and/or cure there powers or use their powers to protect a world that hates and fears them
