SCENARIO FOR RAJA #3 (Religion)

The Mauryan empire set up Edicts that concerned security, general welfare, justice and buddhist values. This Edicts make sure that people are treated fairly. They make sure that people have the right to do things, and are treated fairly and kindly daily and in court. ~ISN page 76

This Raja sounds similar to the Mauryan Empire. Religion was important to the Mauryan Empire, and they were concerned with the general welfare to their people. Looks like this Raja will fit in just fine with the Empire.

There were three principles to follow.
1. The principle of Ahimsa, the belief that one should not give up any living thing
2. Tolerance- willingness to respect different beliefs and customs
3. Well being- rule people well
