Peristalsis and esophagus
"Oh!" I uttered as I entered something tight. I wondered why I'm not dead already. But yeah obviously it's a good thing so I forced myself to forget about my terrible journey in the human mouth. I looked around again. Everything seems to be going downwards. I guessed this process in the human digestive system is called peristalsis. In peristalsis muscles contract to move food from one end to the other. "My science teacher will be able to lift his chest up with pride," I flattered, "He has a student like me after all." Then I again I felt myself being pushed downwards. I remarked my location to be in the esophagus, the muscular tube lined with mucus which connects the mouth to the stomach. "OMG I'm done for," I hissed, " Bless me, my lord. I'm about to enter the stomach." I closed my eyes again and prayed, prayed for my life.
