The mauryan empire is similar to the raja. Their similar because religion was important to both the raja and the mauryan empire.
The mauryan set of edicts that involved security, justice, Buddhist values, and, general welfare. Those edicts made sure that people were treated fairly and not treated badly. They made sure people wearen't disobeying the laws.

There were only 3 principles to follow:

1.well being

2.the principle of ahimsa the vision that nobody should give any living thing up

3.tolerance to respect different beliefs.
