The Tughluq dynasty was founded by Ghiyas-ud-Din Tughluq but was replaced by Muhammad ibn Tughluq. Although Muhammad tool over control, he was a unpopular ruler due to the fact he tried to reorganize the administrative aspects of the sultanate.
In 1351 much of the the Delhi sultan territory was taken over by the Hindus who established Bahmani sultanate.
