Ex: when you fall your skin rubs against the ground to create wounds.

When an object is in motion, speed, friction and velocity all play a part. Speed is how fast something is going. To calculate divide distance/time.velocity is the rate of change of the position of an object. Friction is the force that acts against the motion of a moving object. It slows an object down till it is eventually at a complete stop.
