Digestive System

The digestive system breaks down food into molecules the body can use which will be absorbed into the blood. Parts that help the digestive system are the teeth, tongue, salivary glands, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and your pancreas. Your teeth and tongue help break down the food allowing us to swallow the food. The salivary glands makes the food moist so it's easier to swallow. The esophagus forces the food and water down to your stomach. Your stomach breaks your food down to get nutrients for the body. The small intestine pulls your nutrients in your body and the large intestine keeps you hydrated. The pancreas produces insines that help your digestive system.
