Government Restrictions and Propaganda

Through the use of propaganda campaigns, the government was able to restrict civil liberties. The government did this in order to gain support for the war. Many opposed the war and criticized the war efforts. This caused negativity. The government used propaganda campaigns in order to manipulate the people. By vilifying the enemy through propagandas, the government was able to convince the people that the war was justified and the enemies were true enemies.
