Symptoms

In a woman, warts can be found on the vulva (the lips around the opening of the vagina), cervix, upper thighs and in the vagina or the anus.

In men, warts can be found on the penis, scrotum, urethra (where the pee comes out), the upper thighs and on or inside the anus.

You might see or feel it or your parter might notice them but often they are so small you don't even notice them.

They can be flat, smooth or small bumps or they can be quite big, pink, cauliflower-like bumps.

They can be on their own or in groups.

They are usually painless but can itch and cause swelling".

They can cause bleeding from the anus or the urethra.

If your flow of urine is slightly blocked, it can be a sign of warts.
