The most interesting fact I learned about the laughing owl that the males were significantly smaller than females. Also, I found it interesting that The laughing owl not only got it's name from the way it looks, but because it actually made a laughing noise in the early discovery of the birds. As the owls evolved, their noises changed into the more common owls familiar "hoo".
