About The Laughing Owl:

THIS IS THEIR STORY

SIZE:The Laughing Owl was a moderate sized Owl 14 – 15” in height and with a wingspan of 10.4”.

When & Why extinction Occurred: Extinction occurred in the early 1930s. People hunted the poor birds for their feathers. I don't think the bird became extinct from mass extinction or background extinction because their deaths were caused by humans.

Where the owls lived: New Zealand (on land)
