Key Figures
During the Scientific Revolution, there were many key figures. One of them is Sir Isaac Newton, an English scientist. Many of his theories were the foundation of scientific study until the 1900s. A second key figure is Nicolaus Copernicus, a Polish astronomer. He was the one to write the book that supposedly started the Scientific Revolution. He also was the first to suggest that the earth orbited the sun even though he wasn't able to prove it. A third key figure is Galileo Galilei, the father of experimental science. He was the first to study the sky with a telescope and the first to routinely develop experiments to test his theories, which gave him the title the Father of experimental science.
All of these great people are important, but there is one that I think is the most important of them. I think that Sir Isaac Newton was the most important. I think this because he made several laws and they were the foundation for scientific study. He also was able to describe how the physical world worked. He made many contributions to the Scientific Revolution and for those reasons I think that he is the most important of the key figures.
