Facts about Hancock County
It was founded on January 15, 1848 fifteen years after WV became a state.
The county seat is New Cumberland, the largest city is Weirton.
It is located along the Ohio River, south of Fort Pitt.
It is located where the massacre of Chief Logan's family took place in 1774.
Tourist Attractions;
Tomlinson Run State Park, it sits on 1,398 acres of the Ohio River. It's open from 8am to 4pm.
