When Thomas Edison was young he made lots of mistakes. He was eager to read. But, his family was short on money. So he didn't go to school and his mon taught him. He used his money to buy equipment for experiments. When he was 12 he started a stand for a train station that sold lots of things. He moved his laboratory to a train cart. To get agreement from his mom, he promised to read on the job. He did this job to earn money. This was a good time for edison.
