Vertebrates
A vertebrate is any animal that has a backbone.
Vertebrates have a skull as well, and several other bones that form an endoskeleton. They are all bilaterally symmetrical, meaning that they are symmetrical on two sides. They also all have two pairs of limbs. Some examples are arms and legs. Additionally, their organ systems are more advanced than those of invertebrates. They also have skin covering their body.
Vertebrates make up about 3% of all living animal species.
