During the work women did during the war, their salaries weren't always very high, let alone it was always much lower than the men's salaries. Woman's salaries used to go to the men during the war, until the women started initiating strikes against the discrimination on women from men for receiving low wages. Over time, the salaries started to rise depending on the job and how many hours were worked.
