Jessica Valenti referenced a black/white idea that is present when dealing with the purity myth. This idea is sort of like the gender spectrum we talked about in class, reversed however. Instead, the purity myth basically says that if you have sex, you are a slut. If you remain a virgin, you are moral and clean.
