The Theme in "Tuck Everlasting" and "Urashima Taro and the Princess of the Sea".

The theme that both of the stories share is "Change is Changeless." This theme applies to Tuck Everlasting because the Tucks learned to except that no matter what they did they could not change, and they could not stop the world around them from changing. They could not change the fact that everything was moving and growing and they could not. This theme also applies to Urashima and the Princess of the Sea because Urashima Taro had to except that his life on land and everything on land had changed immensely since he had been there and there was nothing he could do to change that. Though he missed his family and his home, he learned that he couldn't bring it back and change how his life was at the moment.
