Colorblindness is a mutation of the 23rd X chromosome.

In order for a female to have Colorblindness, she would have to have two affected alleles.

Since men only carry 1 X chromosome they are at a much greater risk to inherit this disease.

Although this disease is very rare for females to have, many females become carriers.
