-king held the highest position in society
-priests, warriors, & merchants were also part of the upper class
-upper classes had the most power
-girls learned from their mothers how to: cook, make yarn, and weave
-men had to provide food for their family
-families kept gardens next to or near their house
-farmers had to give some of their crops to their rulers
-slaves held the lowest position in society
-the lower class supported the upper class with food and labor
-rulers had beautiful clothing and kings wore capes
