ARREST.

- On July 22nd, 1991, Dahmer was arrested, at first for having threatened a man with a knife. The police, however, discovered gruesome photographs in Dahmer's room, skulls, and body parts. The aforementioned parts and skulls were in Dahmer's fridge.

- On January 13th, 1992, Dahmer's trail began. The fact that most of Dahmer's victims were African-American spurred racial tensions, and the other fact that only one African American juror was involved in the case raised the tensions even further.

- Initially, though confessing to the killings, Dahmer pleaded not guilty. Eventually, though, he changed it to guilty by reason of insanity, but he was found guilty and sane. Dahmer was given 15 consecutive life sentences.
