The War Begins
~The second continental congress met on May 10, 1775 in Philadelphia.
~They decided that new englanders would command the "New England army".
~John Adams came up with the idea of the continental army.
~The man who lead the army was George Washington of Virginia.
~Battle of Bunker hill: On June 16, Israel led over a few hundred men to breeds hill and in a few hours of digging they made a fort. Over 1,000 British troops were killed or wounded and half that of Americans. That meant the war had begun.
