Formation of the Sun and Earth

First off, 4.6 billion years ago, the Earth, the Sun, and other planets were nothing but a cloud of dust particles in space. These particles were attached to each other and they came together to form a huge spinning disk. The center of the disk became the Sun and other planets formed around it.
