Ophelia from Hamlet
Backstory

Ophelia, who might have had relations with Hamlet, was a daughter of a highly respected man named Polonius. She cared deeply for Hamlet, but he rejected her when he 'went mad'. He accused her and all women of being “breeders of sinners”. She falls into depression which ultimately leads to her death.
Ophelia was extremely obedient lady, just like Almondine, to both her parents and Hamlet when he threatened her. Almondine was extremely obedient to Edgar and the Sawtelle family and cared deeply for them. Though, it wasn't necessarily against her will. Both characters were extremely depressed, but for different reasons. In addition to depression, Almondine and Ophelia died because of their sadness.
