Krakauer

-Short, Periodic Sentences
-Lack of unique adjectives

-Descriptive of Nature
-More factual detail
-Deductive style: Krakauer mentions a general point in McCandless's life and deduces the deeper details of that point
-Division Into Categories: he separates the story into sections of times of Chris's and the people's (those that were in his life and made an impact) instead of chronologically
-Style is informal: Krakauer lets us into his thoughts and is speaking to us
-Time period: was employed as a journalist and so his writing reflects that style of writing duri a period of time in his life
