Kingdom Protista
The kingdom Protista is a very large diverse group where anything that doesn't fit into the plantae, fungi, or animalia kingdoms.
Obviously this kingdom is like no other. There are four types of eukaryote Protista: single celled animal like, single celled plant like, multicellular plant like, and fungus like Protista. Within the animal like Protista lies another 4 groups: zooflagellates, sarcodines, ciliates, and sporozoans. Zooflagellates move by using their flagella, move freely in host body, and cause African sleeping sickness and giardia. Sarcodines use false feet called pseudopods to move and to feed. Amoebas are found in this sub sub category. Ciliates use cilia, small hairs for movement and feeding. They are mostly live free living and are found in fresh and salt waters. They also have a vacuole that looks like a beating heart called and contrastive vacuole.
Lastly we have sporozoans. These protists do not move, are all parasites, and love within cells. Then we move on to plant like Protista what we know as algae is found. This algae can be either single or multicellular which is seaweed. Lastly we have fungus like protists where we have water and slime molds that are parasites and decomposers.
