Hillary Clinton
Hillary Clinton was born Hillary Diane Rodham on October 26, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. She earned a J.D. (Juris Doctor Degree) from Yale Law school, where she met Bill Clinton. They married, and in 1993, Hillary became the First Lady. As First Lady, Hillary's major initiative was the Clinton Health Care Plan, but it failed to gain approval from the American people. Hillary played a leading role in advocating the creation of the State Children's Health Insurance Program, the Adoption and Safe Families Act, and the Foster Care Independence Act. President Bill Clinton often consulted her regarding presidential decisions. Due to the Whitewater Controversy (real estate investments made by her and her husband,) Hillary Clinton was the only First Lady to have ever been subpoenaed. However, she was never charged with wrongdoing. Bill and Hillary Clinton's marriage endured the Lewinsky scandal, and they are still married and involved in politics to this day.
