African American soldiers were paid less than white soldiers, only making $7.00 a month, compared to the $10.00 a month that the other soldiers were. The African Americans were forced to except the unequal amount of money they were paid.

African Americans were forced to do the tougher jobs. They were considered the guinea pigs of the army. They were forced to check for bombs, they were constantly yelled at by the white soldiers.
