What is Viral Gastroenteritis

Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the stomach and the small and large intestines. The viral disease is an infection caused by a variety of viruses that result in diarrhoea or vomiting.

It is often know as a stomach flu although it is not caused by flu viruses.
