Old Kingdom 2686-2181 BC

The old kingdom was the third dynasty of pharaohs. The first pyramid was made during this time period. Pyramid construction reached its prime at this point during Egypt history. Peace and prosperity was enjoyed by Egypt because there were no serious dangers or threats. The old kingdom perished after the sixth dynasty's king died.
