Before the War

Many alliances were formed before the Great War. The rivalries caused allies to come to one another's defense. One alliance formed was the central powers. The central powers were Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottomans, and Italy. Another alliance formed was the Allies consisting of Britain, France, And Russia.
