Bunchberry

Cornus Canadensis

- Bunchberry spread by horizontal rootstocks and occurs in patches, making it a fine ground cover

- the tiny flowers aren't at all showy, but they are surrounded by clear, white bracts

- Bunchberry flowers lay across southern Canada and much of the Northern United States

- one thing significant about the Bunchberry is the buttonlike central cluster of the flowers mature into a tight bunch of red berries that last for some time
