The Oak Tree

Quercus alba

- a mature 30 feet white oak tree located at the edge of a manicured lawn and a longer, wilder long

- currently, the oak tree has acorns and the color has not yet started to change

- one thing that is interesting about the white oak tree is they have male and female flowers: the male flowers are greenish- yellow catkins, up to four inches long, which hang from twigs, and female flowers are small reddish spikes
