Drawbacks of using Coal

-Water Pollution: Coal Production needs a lot of water, which can affect aquatic and and land wildlife. Also, water that comes in contact with the coal, can contaminate it.
-Per unit of electricity, coal produces more pollution than any other fuel source
-Coal mining puts peoples lives at risk, and is not good for our environment either
-The burning of coal is not environmental friendly because it produces sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide,and nitrogen oxide that causes pollution to the environment
-Coal mining is resulting in the clearing of land, and making roads which is radically altering ecosystems.
-Coal is a non-renewable resource
