Freedom Riders and the troubles they faced

- The Freedom Riders are activists who rode the intestate busses into the Southern U.S during 1961 and the following years.
- The first ride took place on May 4,1961 in Washington D.C.
- For the Freedom Riders the rides are very dangerous and could have potentially resulted in death to many of the riders and have very one sided trials a in the south.
- In some cases the the Police cooperated with the Ku Klux Klan and many other whites who were against sharing a bus with colored people to plan organized attacks on the riders.
