Freedom Riders experience

- May 14, Mothers Day in Anniston, a mob of KKK members blocked a bus called Greyhound.
- Many of the KKK started to slash the tires, firebomb the bus, and while the riders were on the burning bus the KKK attempted to trap the riders with the intention of letting them burn with the bus. - In the end the riders escaped, but not from the KKK who then chased after them and heated the protestors.
- Hospitals refused to provide medical treatment for most of the protestors in fear of the mob.
