Things to See and Do

The Painted Desert Inn (which is not an actual inn, but a historic museum and bookstore) The Rainbow Forest Museum complex is 2 miles north of the park's south entrance offers information, and the viewing of the movie "Timeless Impressions" every half-hour. Inside, there is a bookstore, fossil exhibits, an interactive Triassic Virtual Tour, food service, a gift shop, and public restrooms.
