Major Leaders in education reform/ their accomplishments

The major leaders in the education reform was Horace Mann. He got people to pay taxes so that their kids and other kids could go to good school that were not poor. They wanted the taxes to go towards the public schools because those were the poor schools and children that went to public schools then would stop going to school at the age of 10. The private schools were fine the whole reform was for a better education for the kids that went to the public schools.
