Assassination of John F. Kennedy
John F. Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States. John Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy, commonly known by his initials JFK, was an American politician who served as the 35th President of the United States from January 1961 until he was assassinated in November 1963.
FK was shot by a sniper while traveling with his wife Jackie, Govern of Texas and his wife in a presidential motorcade. He was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald.
John F. Kennedy assassination was significant because, It was one of those unique "turning points" of history for it allowed Johnson to become President. Under Johnson's presidency, the country made a hard turn to the left (domestically) and became an active (some might say belligerent) force in international affairs (particularly in Vietnam).
