Significance of quote:
While only a small quote interspersed within Macbeth's monologue, it is a significant sign of Lady Macbeth's state of mind. This quote shows Lady Macbeth's doubt and concern about her husbands plans, which is contrasted against Act 1, Scene 5, where Lady Macbeth was eagerly encouraging her husband to commit murder.
