What is Democracy?

Democracy:
Makes decision by the people.

Facts:
• On July 4 1940 there were only 14 democracies remaining in the world
• Thomas Jefferson believed in a nation of agriculture rather than one based on industry. He'd be pretty dissapointed today.
• in a span of 16 years, portugal had 44 government, 20 military takeovers, and 12 presidents.
• it took 4 months to assemble the Statue of Liberty! She traveled all the way from France.
• In ancient Athens, voters were allowed to to banish their politicians.
• The rose is a symbol of socialism
