How is it contracted

🔹Pituitary gland tumors- A benign tumor of the pituitary gland can secrete an excess amount of ACTH.

🔹Adrenal gland tumors- A tumor in one of your adrenal glands, causing too much cortisol to enter your bloodstream.

🔹Family- Although it is rare, Cushing's can develop from an inherited tendency to have tumors on one or more of your endocrine glands.

🔹 The most common cause of Cushing's Syndrome is the use of corticosteroid medications (prednisone) in high doses for a long period of time.
