Signs & Symptoms

**Most people with Cushing's Syndrome will have:

🔸Round, red, full face (moon face)
🔸Slow growth rate in children
🔸Weight gain with fat accumulation on the trunk, but fat loss on the arms, legs, and buttocks
🔸Skin infections, purple marks(1/2 inch more wide) called striae on the skin of the abdomen, thighs, and breast
🔸Thin skin with easy bruising
🔸Backache, bone pain or tenderness which occurs with routine activities
🔸Collection of fat between the shoulders and collar bone
🔸Rib and spine fractures caused by thinning of bones
🔸Weak muscles, especially of the hips and shoulders
🔸Mental changes such as depression, anxiety, or changes in behavior
🔸Fatigue
🔸Increased thirst and urination
🔸Women can grow excess hair on the face, neck,chest,abdomen, and thighs
🔸Men may have decreased or no desire for sex
