The growth of towns

While most of people lived on their farms, but people moved into town. In 1850, at the town there were only 13,000 people, but after ten years, the population of town grow to over 26,000 people. Galveston became the state's main port and trade center. Also San Antonio was the largest and most populated town. Germans made up most San Antonio's population.
