👈 spring scale

How to Use a Spring Scale ➡️

It uses a spring attached to a hook to work. The object to be weighed is hung from the hook, which compresses the spring. The amount that the spring is compressed is read on a scale that is graduated in pounds.

It uses a spring attached to a hook to work. The object to be weighed is hung from the hook, which stretches out the spring. The amount that the spring is expanded is read on a scale. Which can be found on the side of the spring. The number that the indicator is at is your objects force. The indicator is the flat tab with the spring that always starts at 0.

Two examples: Sally hooked a 400g weight on her spring scale. The spring stopped at 4, so that means her objects force was 4N.
Sam put a 1,740g weight on the hook of his spring scale. He saw that the indicator was at 17. His objects force was 17N.

The flat, little, silver thing at the zero is your indicator it will point to the correct measurements!
